When the NFL season kicks off on Sept. 11, Sunday Night Football will retire “Waiting All Day for Sunday Night,” the theme song based on Joan Jett’s “I Hate Myself for Loving You” that popular artists like Pink, Faith Hill and Carrie Underwood have covered over the past 10 years.
It’s out with the old and in with the new as Carrie recorded the program’s new theme, “Oh, Sunday Night,” which is based on her 2014 duet with Miranda Lambert, “Somethin’ Bad.” Carrie is in her fourth season performing SNF‘s theme song.
“I love being part of the Sunday Night Football family and can’t wait for the fans to hear the new theme song,” said Carrie in a press release.
Now, fans can hear “Oh, Sunday Night” right here, and don’t forget to tune in on Sept. 11 for the debut of “Oh, Sunday Night” with Carrie and 12 of her NFL-playing friends, including Eli Manning, Russell Wilson, Von Miller, Clay Matthews, Odell Beckham Jr., Antonio Brown and more.
New song. New season.
